ITS World Congress 2015
The CLEAN-ROADS project was presented in occasion of the ITS World Congress, the most important world event on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). This event is organized on a yearly basis, and hosted cyclically in Europe, America and Asia. The 2015 edition was held on October 5th – 9th in the French city of Bordeaux.
The congress was attended by about 12.000 experts, with 250 sessions and more than 1.000 speakers. The CLEAN-ROADS project was presented as a pilot initiative which aims at evaluating the contribution of ITS technologies in order to improve the efficiency of winter road maintenance in an alpine environment, in particular as far as its environmental impacts are concerned. The presentation was warmly appreciated by the session participants, and several international contacts have been activated.
